Generator limits (what you get)
Freeqrify builds static QR codes and Data Matrix symbols in your browser. The payload is never uploaded. There is no account wall and no watermark on the image.
- Output size: 200, 300, 400, or 500 pixels square (UI options).
- Error correction: level H (~30% recovery). That is why a center logo up to about 25% of the square still usually scans.
- Download: PNG only. The SVG button falls back to PNG—the current library does not emit SVG.
- WiFi security options: WPA/WPA2, WEP, or open (no password).
- Not included: dynamic/tracked codes, short-link redirects, scan analytics, or cloud storage of your payloads.
Supported types — QR + Data Matrix
WiFi QR code
Encodes SSID, password, and security so guests can join without typing. Use a guest SSID when the print will sit in a public room. For many rooms, use the bulk generator (max 100 rows).
vCard QR code
vCard 3.0 with name, phone, email, org, title, and URL. Keep fields short—dense cards need more modules and a larger print size.
WhatsApp QR code
Builds a wa.me link from digits-only country code + number, with an optional greeting. The person still taps Send. WhatsApp steps.
Phone & SMS
One scan opens the dialer or a pre-filled SMS. Include the country code.
GPS location
Latitude, longitude, and optional label. Phones open Maps at that point.
URL, text & email

What sizes and error correction does Freeqrify use?
You pick 200, 300, 400, or 500 px. Encoding always uses error correction level H so small damage or a center logo (capped near 25% of the square) is less likely to break the scan.
Can I download SVG?
No. Downloads are PNG. The SVG control still appears for familiarity, but it saves PNG and explains that SVG is unavailable with the current library.
Are codes uploaded to a server?
No. Generation runs in your browser tab. WiFi passwords, vCards, and URLs are not sent to Freeqrify for encoding.
Which types can I make?

How do I make a WiFi QR code?

Static or dynamic?

When should I use Data Matrix instead of QR?
Use Data Matrix for tiny industrial or inventory labels. Use QR for posters, menus, WiFi cards, and anything a phone camera will scan from a typical reading distance.
